Family Photo Wall

Decorating.  This is a never ending project for me.  Once I have one room completed, I am moving onto the next.  I love to rearrange my furniture, and move things around almost monthly.  I know this makes many of you kringe, but don't worry  you do not have to be "A Creative Type" to have an amazing home.  There are many blogs out there that will help you create the home of your dreams.  I know how overwhelming or inspiring this may seem depending on who you are, so I am here to help you!  I have posted "The Photo Wall" below to help give you an idea of how you can create a photo wall yourself.  You can make it nuetral with black, white or brown frames.  All you need is a can of spray paint, and some great thrift store frames.

You can also access some of my favorite blogs to see other versions of the "Photo Wall".  Please click the links below.

Budget Detergent Recipe

Wow...I had no idea how long it would take me to get my first post up and going.  I am sure you can all relate to the life of a busy mom, wife and full time secretarty.  I squeeze as much out of one day as possible.  I love creating, gardening, decorating and spending time with my husband and daughters.

My first post will be simple but important.  My sweet neighbor, Pam gave me this recipe about a year ago and I have been using it since that day.  I fell like everytime I go to Costco I walk out with a cart full of laundry and cleaning supplies.  The cost is CRAZY!  This dishwasher soap recipe is inexpensive and effective.  Living on a farm with well water is very hard on my dishes, clothes and HAIR!  This dish powder works great and is easy on the septic system ( I know most of you have city sewer, and I am jealous).

The recipe is simple and you can also find this on http://www.pintrest.com/, so I will cut to the point:

HOMEMADE POWDER DISH WASHING SOAP:

1 cup Borax
1 cup Washing Soda
1 Cup Table Salt
1 pack Lemon Koolaid

Mix all ingredients in a bowl and store in a dry/air tight container.  Use 1 tablespoon for each load.

The Lemon Koolaid is important as the lemon keeps the dishes shiny!  I am not a chemist, not do I have time to look up why this happens.  I will just refer to it as LEMON MAGIC, and call it good.

Happy Washing and have a WACKY day! Tonia
